There are a lot of things to do with your summer. You could volunteer, attend classes or participate in a dance intensive. With all these options, it's clear that spending your summer sitting around at home is not an option. Don't let the cost of these programs get in your way. Here are a few scholarships and scholarship finders that can help you get the most out of your summer:

QuestBridge College Prep Scholars Program is for low-income high school juniors who excel academically and need financial aid. Students who receive the title of a College Prep Scholar will not only receive a scholarship for pre-college programs at prestigious university, they will also have access to essay mentoring and advice from college admission officers.
Applications open in February.

Similar to QuestBridge, SummerFuel scholars will have the opportunity to attend a pre-college program for free. They have four different programs focused on giving college preparation to high achieving students who usually could not afford to attend the program.
Application are open. The deadline is March 15, 2017. 

Joyce Ivy Foundation
The Joyce Ivy Foundation focuses on supporting young, aspirational women succeed by offering them scholarships for pre-college programs and beyond.

Applications open December 1. The deadline is March 1, 2017.
